In August 2021 the class inspection of the r/v OCEANOGRAF has begun at the Naval Shipyard in Gdynia. The purpose of the survey is to confirm that the ship, its devices and equipment comply with the requirements of the rules for the classification and construction of sea-going ships. The class certificate is renewed periodically, usually every 5 years. Renewal of the class is associated with the necessity to perform repair works on the vessel and replace some devices and equipment.
The largest works focused on the inspection and protection of the ship’s hull and its propulsion.
